Robert T. Heenan of Langhorne passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 90.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mr. Heenan joined the Army at the age of 14. He served for three years before being discharged and joining Local #542 of Operating Engineers.

Mr. Heenan was an active member of Local #542 for over 70 years where he was the business manager for nearly 30 years. He was the first General Vice President of the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) serving for 10 years.

Beloved husband of Mary (Milligan) for 70 years, he was the loving father of Karen Winchester (Robert), Mary Ann Mangini and John Heenan (Jeri); devoted grandfather of Mary Beth, Amy, Bobby, Katie, Jack and Grace and great grandfather of 15.

Robert was the brother of Mary Walsh and Thomas Heenan (Carol) and will be greatly missed by many loving nieces, nephews, friends and members of Local 542.

He was preceded in death by his son, Robert T. Heenan Jr.; son-in-law Michael Mangini and brother Jack Heenan.

Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Friday, July 8th at Our Lady of Grace Church, 225 S. Bellevue Avenue, Penndel where his funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon. Rite of Committal will follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
