Applications must be signed by the Business Manager, so they must come to the JATC Office first and then we will forward them to Washington, DC. Prior experience is not required, and apprentices are welcome to attend. However, applicants must first demonstrate competency in the operation of basic construction equipment. The training program will evaluate each applicant at the beginning of the course, and those without the required skills to safely operate the equipment utilized for each particular course will be dismissed.
FOR PIPELINE APPLICATION
Applications must be filled out on computer or printed out and typed in. The NPTF will only accept your application this way. To fill out application on computer you will see Open with Different Viewer on top right of your screen. Click on it and open with Adobe Acrobat Reader and fill out application. Remember Application must come back to the JATC Office first and be signed by the Business Manager and the JATC Office will submit application to the NPTF. IMPORTANT – The JATC must have the filled out application and signed by you at least six weeks in advance of class you are applying for. If accepted the NPTF will be emailing you travel forms and arrange your flights for you to Crosby TX.
Classes fill up quickly so submitting your application as early as possible is key.
The NPTF will provide all students training at the ITEC will all necessary training materials, lodging, meals, airfare or mileage reimbursment. For any classes held at a hosting Local Union, the students will be provided with all training materials, lodging, lunch as well as $50 per diem and mileage reimbursement.
