Local 542 sponsored a food drive to benefit the South Philadelphia Coast Guard Station. Over 200 service members and their families are stationed in South Philadelphia. During the government shutdown, the Coasties continued to serve around the globe, all while not receiving their pay. Local 542 donated a truckload of food and 48 WaWa gift cards worth $20 each.
