IUOE National Pipeline Training Program
Prior experience is not required, and apprentices are welcome to attend. However, applicants must first demonstrate competency in the operation of basic construction equipment. The training program will evaluate each applicant at the beginning of the course, and those without the required skills to safely operate the equipment utilized for each particular course will be dismissed.
APPLICATION PROCESS
All registration for pipeline classes through the International Training & Education Center (ITEC) must be completed on their website. Registration must be completed at least 6 weeks in advance for the pipeline class you are interested in. Registration does not mean you are approved. Once your registration is processed, you will be notified via email through ITEC about whether you’ve been approved, along with further instructions regarding travel. Classes fill up quickly, so submitting your application as early as possible is key.
The NPTF will provide all students training at the ITEC with all necessary training materials, lodging, meals, airfare or mileage reimbursement. For any classes held at a hosting Local Union, the students will be provided with all training materials, lodging, lunch as well as $50 per diem and mileage reimbursement.
